Timothy and Monkey have been and gone at the Drayton Arms. I was particularly pleased to see Monkey up on its feet merely a month after the script had been written. There's no better way of testing a script than by properly performing it in front of an audience, and I give special thanks to director John Rushton for having enough faith in my abilities that he agreed to stage the play months before a single word had been typed (and didn't blink when the frivolous comedy I'm promised in January was delivered as a faintly traumatising drama in April). And it's always a pleasure to see Timothy performed again; to my mind, this production was the funniest yet.
If you were there at either of our performances, please do drop a line to me with any feedback you might have. We're hoping to develop the plays in the coming months with a few to a longer run somewhere else.
And if you missed them, there's an opportunity to catch Timothy again on May 24th and June 4th in Bath, this time by OnSet Productions. Or, if you're in the London area, tickets are currently available for Crowley&Co's production of Monster Hunters at the King's Head Theatre at the end of May!
