And in the meantime, I'm currently writing a brand new stage comedy for a short run at the end of January next year: The Awkward Ghost. It's an intimate little thing about a ghost named Jo who quietly haunts the flat in which she died whilst keeping out of the way of its new occupant, Robin. Only Jo has become rather obsessed with Robin and plans her days around the moments she can observe him, invisibly, and up close. When Jo's brash and drunken sister dies in a car crash, however, Jo finds herself having to share her home with another ghost... one who's very much intent on making her presence known.
It's been four weeks since Wooden Overcoats uploaded its last episode, but a lot of people are still discovering the series. We recently hit 25,000 downloads worldwide, which is amazing news, and we've received some very kind words from The Times ("inspired comedy") and The Huffington Post ("completely original.") And to our immense delight, iTunes has listed us amongst the Best Podcasts of 2015, alongside some very prestigious company indeed! There are also rumours that a second season could be on the way. Whilst I cannot confirm that at present - there are various factors we need to account for - it's certainly something I'd look forward to working on, having come up with various new and exciting potential storylines for the denizens of Piffling Vale. The play will be staged by Crowley & Co. at the VAULT Festival 2016, at the Vaults underneath Waterloo Station in London, from January 27th - January 31st. Director and producer Tom Crowley has also written a piece about the play and our previous collaborations (including Monster Hunters and Wooden Overcoats). It's been billed as a sad comedy, because I've written it, and I think it should be a lot of fun!
