Wooden Overcoats - Audio Verse Awards '18

In a very happy beginning to the year, Wooden Overcoats has come away with five gongs at the Audio Verse Awards, held each year to celebrate the best in free audio drama around the world.

As well as a Best Writing award for myself and the Season 3 team (Tom Crowley, Rosie Fletcher, James Hamilton, James Huntrods, Alex Lynch, Molly Beth Morossa), we've picked up awards in Engineering, Music, Performance and Production. I'm very proud of my production team today!

We'll be performing material at the PodUK convention, Birmingham UK, on February 2nd, where we look forward to mixing with other podcasters and their listeners. Hope to see you there!

That’s fantastic, and extremely well-deserved. I’ve just begun listening to you series for the third, or perhaps fourth, time, and I’m still blown away by the wit of your writing and delivery by your cast. It may sound cliche, but this show gives me comfort at times my anxiety is running roughshod. It’s something I can laugh with that brings me to a different time and place for a while. I hope you all will consider making more. I will definitely look forward to supporting it.

Hello Mark! Thank you for your kind comment, and I'm really glad you're still enjoying the show after all those listens! I found writing it - particularly the third season - gave me a lot of comfort too. We're looking into how a fourth season might be possible; it's taken us a while as several of us have become much busier since we made the first few seasons. But hopefully we'll be able to sort something out!
