He used to run it by himself.
He doesn't anymore...
Yes, Wooden Overcoats is back! I've had nothing to report over the past few months because I've had my head down writing, recording and generally helping out with the new season (though look out soon for some exciting news regarding a stage project next year).
We're back on the island of Piffling for eight brand new episodes of funereal fun, and we're kicking off with THE GHOST OF PIFFLING VALE by Molly Beth Morossa and myself. A supernatural story just in time for Halloween, our first episode sees Rudyard stealing a customer from Eric Chapman - but in doing so, he must obey a very spooky request!
In addition to the return of our main quintet Felix Trench, Beth Eyre, Tom Crowley, Ciara Baxendale and Belinda Lang, we also welcome back Andy Secombe as the agnostic Reverend Wavering and Ellie Dickens as the exasperating Miss Scruple (whose single appearance in The Little Death last year nearly stole the whole season). And fans of Jonathan Creek and Men Behaving Badly will recognise the incredible Caroline Quentin as the disreputable Madam Lansbury Manning.
Download it now from iTunes or your preferred podcasting client, and have a listen on the main Wooden Overcoats website. And if you fancy hearing a little bit more about the new season, you can hear myself and writer / actor extraordinaire Tom Crowley discussing it on the Succotash podcast with host Marc Hershon!
Tune in next Thursday for the second episode, and until then - enjoy yourselves!
